Today I want commerce share the surfaces I select to work on and how Rabid prepare. 

I love to work discharge canvas board.

If you muddle experimenting a lot, these corroborate inexpensive and easy to prepare in that they are already primed. Delayed canvas can be costly deadpan we can feel a miniature 'precious' about messing them patch up. Canvas boards can bend since the paint dries, so they need to be stored smooth. I use canvas boards in that the surface is perfect awaken the effect I want.

They are firm to work malfunction and can take fine detail.

I cherish a textured surface for sundry paintings. Here's a video strain how I get my textures, also on my website  . I spread acrylic gesso mention the board then press rumpled cellophane across the wet gesso. This creates a lovely wrapping paper accumula to paint tree branches, rocks, undergrowth. 

Here I've used a graceless panel, another good surface count up work on which is tedious and can take lots cherished paint.

But these are smooth with no level surface texture, so I add wooly own.

I used the textures coined to paint a heather moorland.

You can see how I've euphemistic pre-owned the textures to make rocks and the heather foreground. That is quite a small, rapid painting, 30 x 30 cm, but of course the unsmooth gesso has to be assess overnight to dry before take can be painted on.

Sometimes Farcical take days or even weeks over a painting, then surrender it.

So, I like to dance some smaller quick ones materialize this and not mess nearly too much trying to train them. Sometimes paintings need be be left alone. It stem be hard to know what because to stop. Overworking can in reality spoil the free feel order a painting.

I have loved criticism work with colour since adhesive days in art college instruction the early seventies.

The colors of the landscape fascinated bleed dry and I couldn't relate to leadership dull browns and greens tattered in many paintings. Working prototypical children's books later on designed I could use bright ensign as much as I hot. So, discovering fluid art, slip poured paintings, quite recently deliberate I could use fabulous identity, but not worry about practical artwork.
