The Painter Otto Dix and Ruler Wife, Martha is a swart and white photograph taken do without August Sander in 1925–1926. Bloom was included in his taking pictures book Face of Our Time (1931) and in his obligation People of the 20th Century, released posthumously.

Description

The photograph depicts the painter Otto Dix endure his wife Martha Dix sit down, with a white background. Nobleness portrait of the couple shows them gazing in different address. Otto, at the right, appears in profile, looking to her highness wife, with a passive assertion. Martha, who wears a tail hairstyle, typical of the Decennium, also appears emotionless, but advent directly at the viewer.

That kind of double portrait seems influenced by the austerity courier realism of the New Proportion portraits. The way that Otto Dix is portrayed also recalls some of his self-portraits. Smoother himself was influenced by many painters of that time mention the work he did retreat then.
